Nice Steering System Safety Upgrade
Really like the fact that this steering shaft incorporates a real universal joint to eliminate slop and looseness to the gearbox. Additionally, there a substantial increase in shaft travel in the design that the factory part didnt have so on the event of a collision the steering wheel will be less likely to injure the driver substantially. I used blue thread locker compound on the set screw that fastens to the steering shaft for an extra measure of security during installation which takes about 45 minutes total. Great product!

This is an excellent replacement for the factory pot coupler. Fits like OEM. Much better road feel then a new OEM pot coupler gives. More precise steering. Great shipping time. Just bolt it in and enjoy.

Installed on 78 Dodge W150
Bought this even though product said it wouldnt fit on a 1978 Dodge W150 truck. For $69 had to give it a shot and being prime wasnt worried if had to return.. Well it fit perfectly with no issues. Took about 15 minutes to install, hardest part was getting the roll pin out of original steering coupler. Shaft extend to about 21 inches once bolted in. Completly happy with shaft and the price compared to other brands. Cant say if it fixed the slop that made it hard to keep truck in lane yet because have more work to do on it. Everything I found showed if your rag joint is towards firewall it should work.

Dodge should have done this
Finally I can stop rebuilding that stupid knuckle. The installation was easy although I had to reset my steering wheel straight afterwards. Oh well, Another 5 minutes. Took all of the slop out.

Easy installation and access.
Fit my 1987 Ramcharger 4X4. Strong material; telescoping shaft made it easy to adjust clearance for installation between column and gear box; I used Tread Locker on set screws. Easy access from drverside wheel-well and engine compartment.
