It works, but needs modifcation
So, this fits all the GM trucks from 99 to 2010. I ordered the long length for the LTZ interior (remote start). The length is correct from the latch to the door release. HOWEVER the plastic snap in retainer for the door lock is cast just slightly smaller than the OEM piece. As such the lock tabs that push in and spread out to secure the retainer dont do this and the cable pulls right out of the bracket. I solved the issue by using a zip tie to keep the “fingers” spread and the retainer locked in place. They get it close to OEM but not quite right.

A few quirks but it worked.
Echoing what other reviewers have stated, the orange end that connects to the door latch is not large enough to stay in the mount. I took a small zip-tie and routed it through the end to it would be large enough to remain in place. Also my truck has power door lucks and remote start, but still required only the 16″ cable (08 Silverado Ext Cab). Recommend going by length and not the description.

Very heavy duty wire compared to the original one! Gave it 4 stars because I had to use a zip tie to secure the ends, specially the one by the door latch. I just ran the zip tie behind the two plastic barbs to make them wider, made them very tight like the original. Will need to remove the screws that hold the door latch. I pushed the latch with a screw driver to allow access to connect the wire to the latch, and to secure the end with the ties. No need to dismantle the latch as describe on the youtube videos. The wire comes with one vibration rubber pad installed. The original one had two additional ones. I just cut the pads with a razor blade (single cut along the wire) and installed them on the new wire.

I ordered the middle length which it said I needed based on the broken one I had. This one was too long and the end that connects to the latch wouldnt stay connected because it was too small. I was able to make it work.

It was a perfect fit for my 07 Suburban LTZ. I do wish it had come with new clips that hold it in place as the old ones broke on removal.

The retainer at the latch is too small
The retainer plastic part that attached to the latch mechanism is too small and loose fitting when attempting to attach to latch, had to order a factory one that came with the latch to complete repair. Do not buy

Easy install
Dealer said they dont just sell the cable and that I need to buy the whole latch assembly as well! That would have cost me $210 vs $22. Make sure you shop!!

I used this for the front door on my 07 gmc it was long and the plastic ends are a bit small to lock in tite but it worked
