Too long for a 3.8L Grand Caravan
They say it will fit a 2006 Grand Caravan with a 3.8L, and while it does in fact “fit” its about an inch too long. For those that said it fit perfectly, dont think youre hetting an accurate level reading.

The plastic part of the original dip stick broke. My mechanic was able to fish it out, and jury-rigged something until this new one arrived. It looks just like the old one. Hopefully it too will last 10 years!

The dipstick arrived right away and it was exactly what I need to replace the broken one in my minivan.

Does not fit in the hole. The dipstick is slightly too large and does not fully seat.

Different length than original.
It was a different (longer) length than original so I had to inscribe the correct full level on it.

Fits as if from the vehicle manufacturer.

Not quite perfect match but…..
Not an exact fit for my 2009 Caravan 3.8L. It is a little shorter but the safe markings match up compared to the original when layers side by side. So it should be usable.

Mission accomplished !
The dip stick handle was removable which allowed me to put it on mine. The stick was shorter than mine, which means , somehow I purchased the wrong part. I only needed the handle. I’m 63 and never in my life have I had to replace a dipstick.Thanks Chrysler !

Ring and sealing end is too large.
Will have to sand it to fit. The orange tip is too large to fit in the hole of my engine dip stick tube. If I push harder it will flex the ring part which will break it off. However, it will seal the hole! I just can’t use it to check the oil level. Will have to sand it down. Still have my old one (OEM) with the broken ring for that. $$ was 1/4 of OEM price to replace…

Good Replacelent Part
This part fit perfectly in my 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan with a 3.8 liter motor. The old one broke off inside the tube. I was able to remove it by spraying penetrating oil around the plastic in the tube and while the engine was cool, screw in a longer wood screw on the end of the plastic and wiggled it loose and out of the tube.

The yellow handle broke off my original so I replaced it with this. I still had the steel part (the part that actually measures the oil) so I compared it to this new one and it was the exact same length and the oil level markings were in the same place. This is a good replacement part.

Beware of Vehicle Fit

2 inches too long
Even though this was said to fit a 3,8 liter 2006 Dodge Caravan, it doesnt even come close. Just got around to checking it because of the cold weather in the past couple of months and found its too late to return for refund.
Does anyone out there need a dipstick that wont work? Found out that my 2006 Caravan came with a 2005 engine. Check the numbers on the dipstick before ordering. If I would have done that, it would have saved me 20 bucks.

Does not match the old one. Is about a inch longer then the stock oil dipstick. Does not work for my 06 dodge grand caravan.

This is good, it is a actual mopar part (came with the tag and everything) must be a redesign because the stick is shorter but has the full lines in the same spot when lined up.

NOT CORRECT
This does not work for a 2010 grand caravan with a 3.8. It is about a 1/2 inch shorter that the factory one.

dip stick works but is not exact replacement. I used in 2006 chyrsler Town and country. This dip stick is about 5 inches too long and must be cut off to make shorter. I also used a file to score a low oil and high oil line so I can make sure the vans oil level is correct. It works but I would buy a higher quality OEM dip stick next time.

Not OEM size
The oil dip stick I received was 1 1/2 inches longer than the factory OEM dipstick it was replacing which led to inaccurate oil level readings. Would not recommend..
