Better than OEM with a metal shaft!
The OEM Dipstick is fiberglass. Before this Dorman one I bought a replacement that lasted 2 days before snapping. That began my search for a cheaper dispstick with a metal shaft. I have loved this one so far and see no reason it won’t last the life of the car.

The dipstick is way longer and end is different but I was able to make it work.
Overall it¡¯s a good dipstick for price.

Not for R56 or later. Nice dipstick though
As per the image, the dipstick is way different. Would give a false reading for oil level on N14 and N18 (R56-R58)

Full refund issued immediately and the manufacturer also got in touch to find out return reason

Easy to read, not easy to hold.
This dipstick looks great. It definitely looks better than the plain, worn, black dipstick that came with my car and is a whole lot easier to read. You literally just pull it out and the oil will have filled up the holes in the dipstick so theres no guessing involved.
My only issue is that its just too flexible. You have to grab the tip right as its coming out or itll flop around like a rubber snake. Not sturdy at all.
Other than the sturdiness, its not bad.

didnt fit my mini cooper dipstick tube
the diameter and length were incorrect for my mini cooper dipstick tube. couldnt use it and its too late to return for a refund. A waste of my money..
