Cooler comes without sensors! it is more stable for customers to install the original sensors, as there may be more problems with third-party sensors in future use.
**Update*** Jan 2022
Product came with filter and sensors installed.
*Update Jan 2022*
After 20k miles started leaking from back ports. Sadly it looks like I will be doing the replacement again. May spend the much extra for oem but not sure. It is the cost of two non-oem and will it last? I really dont want to keep doing this every year. Sad this failed.

So far, so good…
Well, I installed it yesterday, April 10th, 2021, in my 2014 Jeep Wrangler and so far, so good. Its not leaking a drop. I will update if it fails. Like so many others, I was a bit leary about using one of these aftermarket housings. I wanted to get my hands on the OEM Mopar version but with 52,000 on national backorder, I didnt want to have to dump a quart of oil in every week waiting for a part that they cant even give me an idea of when I might even get it. GM is really sticking it to us on this one. So, I looked for the one with the least negative reviews and ended up ordering this one. Im not much of a mechanic but I know how to turn a wrench and the job took me about 7 hours, stopping after every step to watch a YouTube video on the next step. The housing looks identical to the Mopar one that it replaced. I installed Mopar sensors, putting a little Permatex Ultra Copper Gasket Maker on the threads and torqued them in to the required torque specs with a torque wrench. Note: You will need a special Oil Sensor Socket for the oil pressure sensor. Its a really DEEP 1-1/16 socket with rounded corners, and it will set you back about $12.00 at your local auto parts store. A regular deep socket works fine on the temperature sensor. The sensors stick out with quite a bit of thread still showing, but Im told that this is normal. I was going to swap out the O-Rings that came with this housing with the set that Fel-Pro makes for it but to be honest, all except for one, the O-Rings that came with this housing looked a little beefier than the Fel-pro rings. They were all at least a millimeter taller, so except for the one that goes around the biggest hole, I ended up using the O-Rings that came with this housing. I did use the Fel-pro O-Ring for the biggest hole because that one looked a bit taller than the one that came with the housing. The time consuming part of the job for me was just getting to the damn thing, and getting the fuel injectors back into the fuel rail. The old housing came out easily and the new one went in very easily, too. One word of caution of you are doing this yourself without much experience: When it comes time to torque the upper manifold back down (use a torque wrench), MAKE SURE it is fully seated in place. There are 2 pairs of studs that stick out of the drivers side of the upper manifold. Make SURE that BOTH pairs are inserted through the holes in the 2 brackets that they bolt to, BEFORE torquing it all down. I almost missed the pair in the back, the studs were resting on top of the bracket instead of inserted through the holes, about a half inch lower like they should have been. If I hadnt noticed that at the last minute, I would have most likely cracked my upper manifold when I torqued it all down. So to sum it all up, so far I would absolutely recommend this Oil filter / cooler housing. The included o-rings appear top notch – no need to order better ones. Order and use Mopar sensors, torque everything to spec in the right sequence (you can find torque specs and proper sequences online) and you should be OK with this particular aftermarket housing. I didnt own a torque wrench, and the reviews for cheap ones looked pretty dismal so I sprung a little more for the Husky 30-200 In/lb torque wrench, $60.00 at your local home improvement store. So thanks to this aftermarket housing and a YouTube video, even with having to buy the two sensors and a few tools that I didnt already have, I still saved at least $700. from what the dealer gets for this job to replace the crummy, defective housing that they sold us in the first place. Thanks, 3Mirrors, and thanks for NOTHING, GM! And again, if it does fail prematurely, I will be sure to update this review on that very day. Fingers crossed.

The price is very good. I knew that I would have to resize the male end to make it fit in the block. It will not work without.
