Turn your Dremel into another useful item: instead of guessing on the angle or ending up with multiple angles, sharpen your TIG electrodes to the perfect angle every time for clean welds and longer lasting electrodes.

Works well, great price
Works well. It sets the angle perfectly. I still use a bench grinder on a new tungsten, but after that use this to get a perfect point. I had a spare Dremel, so now it is nice to have a dedicated tungsten sharpener.

Got the point!
After the setup it worked really well. Made re-pointing the tungsten pretty easy. After re-pointing we took a little acetone and were amazed at how much longer the tip stayed clean.
Also used the cut off feature groove and work OK…be a little more careful here!!

This made the regrind so much easier & faster
I was surprised that this unit was very nicely made. This unit just screwed right on my dermal tool and I was able to sharpen these peaces while watching TV. I am very happy with the quality and would buy it again.

I was very lazy at grinding my tungstens for TIG welding. I didnt appreciate the effect it had, especially on thinner more finicky work. This small tool makes it easy to get the perfect ground tip every single time. I leave it set up on a cheap HF rotary tool next to the welder. Its great. Im glad I spent the money on this tool. Im guessing this will last me a long time, though the wheels will likely need to be replaced. Very happy with my purchase.

If you have a spear (Dremel-type) unit keep this fix to it and on you cart, very handy and useful, good quality unit for the money!

I dont leave reviews often but this tungsten electrode grinder is great. I paired it up with a cheap rotary tool I got for like $20, that way I have a designated grinder. This is a simple design that works great. Works quicker and cleaner than using a bench top grinder or sander. So for about $100 I have a dedicated electrode sharpener.

Its good to go
Picked up this and the tacklife rotary tool (RTD36AC). Makes grinding significantly easier and faster than using a benchtop grinder. Only takes about 10 seconds to go from flat out of the box to a perfect point. Works great especially for my small garage where I dont have the room to keep my bench top grinder out.

Great for the hobby welder
Works as you would guess, gets the job done. Only thing that would be nice is being able to use the thicker grinding wheel as this uses the thin ones that flex a little, but still a neat product that works.

not bad
after looking at a whole bunch of sharpening methods ranging from the DIY on the bench grinder up to the $1000 plus sharpeners, I settled on this guy with a cheap rotary tool. The results are essentially flawless. perfect tungsten every time for like $60. cant beat that value.

Dont hesitate to buy this tool
This tool is fantastic. Was skeptical of any “tungsten grinder” type tool but decided since it was prime to take a chance. Attached to an m12 rotary tool and did all of thesw tungstens in about 20 minutes. Definately an awesome tool to have if you suck at welding like myself

Great value and fits B&D rotary tool available everywhere
I wish there had been a slight chamfer on the guide holes, to help guide the tungsten in, but thats splitting hairs. The tool, including the Black and Decker rotary tool, was cheaper and produced a better result than ones costing over $200. I dedicated the B&D to this head exclusively, replacing it with another for other tasks. Great product.

Works good for my home use
Takes a little work to get wheel straight and centered so doesnt vibrate.

Simple to use Works well
Tungsten is very hard and I think the disks hold up very well. In my TIG learning I started with a regular grinding stone and the electrodes wore a grove into almost instantly. Still on my first disk and have sharped them many more time than than with the stone. I set the disk height so I can use one side to set the point and use the other side, underneath the guide holes to take off any globs that prevent it from being inserted into the guide hole.

Good Jig
Perfect points on my tungsten every time. Pricey, but certainly worth it if youre after consistency in sharpening.

Way easier than using a bench grinder if your tungsten fits
So this only does two sizes of tungsten, but it works surprisingly well – so far. There is a little getting used to when installing the grinding wheel into the (black) aluminum adapter as there is not much space for tightening the nut on the dremel once everything is together, but if you can figure out how to tig weld, you can figure out how to tighten the nut. Worth the $ – quick, and easily sharpens tungstens. I did 10 pieces in less than 5 minutes.

Not worth the money!!!!
None of the holes will fit a rod. First rpg I put in 3/32 got stuck and when I tried to remove it it broke leaving a piece stuck in the 15 degree holes. Then I tried the 1/16 same problem. Its junk!

I have tried to fit brand new 3/32 T.I.G. electrodes into this Tungsten Grinder head!
It was supposedly made to sharpen T.I.G. electrodes either at 20 or 15 deg. The T.I.G. electrode will not even fit in the holes. May be they need to straighten out milling Machines wherever they are made ….

Great product
My only complaint is if your dremmel type tool gets knocked over it will break the tool where this product attatches. However, I would buy again. Just be careful with the powertool.

if your using a bench grinder buy this instead
this thing is awesome if you using a bench grinder currently you should buy this instead of wearing out your wheel for subpar results. this thing gets the right angle every time noticed alot better stability in my arc. im not sure how it compares to the super expensive tungsten grinders but i cant imagine it being as big an upgrade as it was from the bench grinder to this. i only use 3/32 tungsten and had no issues with the holes i will say putting the tungsten in the hole when the Dremel was running made it significantly easier. the vibrations from the motor help it work down the tight fitting holes.

Works really well to sharpen
Tried it with my dremel last night and worked really well in sharpening the electrode. The only downside I found was it only grinds 15 degrees or 20 degrees. Theres no 30 Degree which is what I was looking for but I often dont read descriptions. Took about 10 seconds to sharpen my 1/16 electrode. Came with extra disks which was nice!

If the holes were slotted to the top I could slide the used tungsten tips down to the grinding wheel instead of pre grinding the tungtento fit in the holes

Effective tool
If you have a Dremel type tool this device works great. It is considerably cheaper than buying a stand along grinder.

Should have got one a long time ago
Fit my Sears Dremel copy perfectly, super easy to setup. See attached photo of a highly magnified 3/32 tungsten ground by this attachment. Only took me 30 years of grinding mine on a bench grinder before I got one of these.

Tungstens fit very precisely into the guide holes, so any trash on the end of the tungsten needs to be removed first. Wish it had more angles and more sizes. Seems a bit over priced for such a simple device but still way less than some of the ridiculously priced “pro” units that are basically dremel tools with an adapter on the end.

I havent used one of the tungstens yet but Im sure it will weld better than my typical rush to the grinder and a 15 second sharpen.

Well designed tungsten sharpener
A tungsten sharpener is $700.00. Most shops have Dremel tools and with this Dremel add on you have a great tungsten sharpener for another $70.00. It is easy to set up and works great. I highly recommend this tool. It is very well made.

Could be cheaper but it works
Careful with the tungsten cutoff feature. Go slow otherwise the wheel will grab the tungsten and jam it between the device and wheel, banding your disc shaft.

Grinds a very nice symmetrical point on tungsten
This is a solid aluminum; well made adapter that fits my Dremel-395 with no issues. It grinds a very nice symmetrical point on the tungsten.

Junk not worth the money.
Works great for new tungsten. Used tungsten that has any imperfections will not fit through the holes. Also the cut feature is a waste. It just grabs the tungsten and throws it around the tool. The diamond wheels work good so i just use them stand alone outside of the tool.

This item works but the disks are too brittle and they break easily.

Easily beats a bench grinder
I was skeptical, but after trying it I gotta say it’s definitely a must have. I thought I was pretty good with the bench grinder, but this thing kills it. Way more consistent, faster and a lot easier¡­ I’d recommend using a variable speed tool with it and run low to medium RPM and let the tool do the cutting, it requires almost no pressure and after grinding over 50 tungstens there is zero wear on the wheel. It’s a little spendy for what it is, but I’m really happy I tried it, takes me about 2 minutes to grind 20 points and they are all perfect every time¡­ No more gouging deep groves in my bench wheel and I now have another bench grinder in the shop that isn¡¯t dedicated to just tungsten¡­ it¡¯s decent for sure¡­

Use it all the time
If it doesnt fit scrape the extra material/remnants on tungsten with a silica carbide disc…. no idea why they didnt include a 30 degree angle… however… you can raise the disc slightly higher than suggested in the instructions to achieve 30…. gotta have it. Threaded perfect on my Dremel. DO IT OUTSIDE WITH A RESPIRATOR!!! Tungsten dust is hard on your lungs and thoriated is radioactive. You will not gain any super powers my friend.

Beats buying a $400 grinder!
Couldnt justify spending $400 on a tungsten grinder when i already had the milwaukee rotary tool. I dont see where buying a specific tungsten grinder could be any better!

Product came packaged very nicely included two bits and five diamond cutting wheels. Fits my dremel perfectly and the 3/32 holes all fit the electrodes very well. I like that the manufacturer added several holes per cutting degree, this allows you to very slightly hit different portions of the cutting wheel so you dont wear out one specific spot. I was originally looking into purchasing a bench grinder with a dedicated wheel, but much happier I found this.

Excellent for grinding Tungsten
If youre like me and like dipping your tip of your Tig probe into the molten bliss.. this is for you. It is easy to grind the tungsten. However if you do dip, you either have to trim/grind the tip to fit in the fixture, or if you use the smaller tip, you just slide it into the large tip size to grind the tip back to size.

Don’t!
This has no motor, therefore it does not work without buying more parts.

sharpens great. Be sure and snap off tungsten, dont cut with dykes, will flatten tungsten and it wont go through holes in sharpener. Dont ask me how I know!!

Time saver
Works very well and a much quicker and nicer sharpen then a bench grinder. Im still pretty early into my TIG welding so safe to say Ive been using it a lot. Im still on the first side of the five supplied discs and Im still amazed how quick it is each time. I would recommend to anyone.

Take your time setting this thing up
Take your time setting this thing up. Took a few Minutes and a little trial and error to get it working just right. Would recommend having a designated grinder for this setup.

Works fine on new Tungsten, once it deforms a bit from use you need to just hold it by hand and use the diamond discs it comes with due to it not fitting through the holes any more.

I bought this while I was going to welding school, where if you missed up, you had to go to a stationary grinder and sharpen it, usually a line for them. This was easy the best thing I have bought, and the head instructor thought it was very interesting as well.

Simple and handy!
Ive had a spare Dremel knocking around the shop for years, and with this accessory, its found a home in my welding cart! This sure speeds up my sharpening – I dressed up a pile of electrodes that I hadnt gotten around to dressing, as well as a box of new ones while I was at it – it only took me about 10 min. I also like the idea of keeping consistency in the tip angle that I couldnt maintain while hand sharpening. The tool is light and easy to use, but you have to keep a firm hand on the electrode, as the vibration from the dremel makes the rod try to walk out of the sharpener, but once you get the knack, its easy. Its nice having the extra diamond wheels as well. I wish it had a couple of holes for 1/8 rod – I dont use it much, but I have a couple. I guess I can suffer one electrode being sharpened at the bench grinder. 😉 It seem like a lot for a little piece of aluminum, but when you compare to the dedicated sharpeners on the market, and look at the time saved & consistent results, its worth it.

Compatible with Dremel Model 200, not sized for .040″ tungsten
Bought this hoping it would fit on a dremel model 200 and it did.

Does not include holes for a .040″ tungsten unfortunately, leaving me really confused about why there are so many holes. There are 12 when it seems like there would only be 4.

Anyways, I still used it for .040″ tungsten and it worked ok. Im sure the angle isnt perfect but its the best solution I found.

Didn’t receive everything
I received the product pretty fast (4 days). Opened it up and realized I didnt get everything. In the description and on instructions sheet, it states it comes with 5 diamond wheels and a mandrel for your rotary tool but mine does not. After paying almost 70$ for a chunk of aluminum with threads and 12 holes, you would think you would at least get everything. Now instead of being able to start sharpening my tungsten now and get my project finished, i have to wait another week or so for diamond wheels and a mandrel to come in. ANNOYING!!

Best thing since sliced bread
It fit perfectly on an old Dremel that I had laying around and I was able to sharpen four (4) tungsten tips flawlessly in less time than it used to take me to do one with an angle grinder. Extremely easy to use. Should have bought this years ago.

Very easy to use with only one small flaw
Being new to TIG welding, I am still trying to acquire all the “Necessities” to be effective. This little tool is outstanding, other than one small issue. It seems to include a slot to “Cut off” the end of a boogered tungsten, but for one, a boogered tungsten wont fit past the wheel. Also, if you arent careful, the tungsten will come out of the slot and jam up the wheel. All that said, its a great tool for the money. Turns out, you can snap a tungsten off pretty clean with a pair of pliers, so the cut off slot in this tool is (Clearly) for amateurs like myself.

Welding for me, especially TIG is great therapy. Once I have worked up a sweat, and laid down some decent dimes, I enjoy using this tool to sit back and have a cold one, and sharpen up my mistakes.

In the end, its totally worth the money, and will make your electrodes nice and sharp.

It’s actually really nice.
You cant ask for much more for this kind of money. Its only 15 and 20 degrees on 3/32 and 1/16 but thats all I use anyway. The little discs are pretty flimsy and wear out quick, but for the money its a great deal.

Absolute Must Buy
Im a very proficient arc and mig welder and just recently picked up a tig welder. After a week of frustration and super inconsistent welds I decided to buy this tungsten grinder. This tool made all the difference in the world! If youre just getting into tig welding and shopping for consumables buy this and a 10 pack of tungsten. Sharpen all 10 and swap them out as needed so youre not grinding tungsten every other minute haha. Youll thank me later.

Better Than Expected!
Works great on all my tungsten. Ive sharpened over 100 on the first wheel and it still looks new. I get uniformed arcs.
